Piney Woods Ultra
The Piney Woods Ultra takes place on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Tyler State Park in Tyler, TX. This event features several race distances: 5K, 10K, 25K, and 50K. Tyler State Park boasts the renowned East Texas pine forest with diverse single-track trails winding through dense forests of 100-foot-tall pines. Runners should be prepared for rolling hills, snaking tree roots, and dense pine needle coverage. The humidity, elevation changes, and technical trails present a significant challenge. Post-race, participants can enjoy a refreshing swim in the park's 64-acre spring-fed lake.
