Prairie Chaos Backyard Ultra

Course Description

This is an official Backyard Ultra, meaning runners have one hour to complete each loop. Finish before the bell rings, and you can continue, otherwise, you're out. The unique course includes a mix of open prairie and wooded paths, ensuring a scenic and enjoyable challenge.

Registration Details

Registration is priced at $219.40. Participants will receive a bib, a race T-shirt, and a "Did Not Finish" medal. The sole winner will be awarded a distinctive prize. Space for each participant is provided near the start/finish line for personal camps.

Aid Stations

There will be an aid station with typical ultramarathon fare, including water, electrolyte drinks, and snacks. It is encouraged to bring personal hydration and nutrition as supplies may be limited.

Facilities

An indoor lodge with flushing toilets and sinks will be available from 7 AM to 10 PM. Additionally, there will be portable toilets near the start/finish area.

Parking

A sizable parking lot is available, but carpooling is recommended.

Backyard Ultra Rules

1. Length per loop: 6.7056 kilometers
2. Participants must start within the corral at the bell.
3. No personal aid; competitors cannot leave the course until the Yard is complete.
4. Each Yard must finish in under an hour.
