About the Pride 5K
In 2020, Nikki launched the virtual race as a fundraiser for The Trevor Project, aiming to create a safe, celebratory space for the LGBTQ+ community. What began as a one-time event quickly became a movement—nearly 2,000 participants joined that first year, raising $33,000 and sparking stories of coming out, allyship, and connection. Since then, the Pride 5k has raised over $222,000 for LGBTQ+ organizations and continues to be a vibrant, inclusive event for runners, walkers, and allies to show up proudly as themselves.
