Reston Sprint Triathlon

The Reston Sprint Triathlon is an annual event that takes place on the first Sunday in June. This year's event will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at 11601 Lake Newport Road in Reston, VA. The event features three different courses: the Sprint Triathlon, the Aquathlon, and the Sprint Relay. The Sprint Triathlon covers a distance of 24.7K and costs between $110.00 and $199.00, depending on when you register. The Aquathlon covers a distance of 5.4K and costs the same as the Sprint Triathlon. The Sprint Relay covers the same distance as the Sprint Triathlon but is a team event, with prices ranging from $200.00 to $275.00.

The event begins with a 400-meter swim in Lake Newport pool, followed by a 12-mile bike ride on the streets of Reston and a 5K run on area pathways. After the race, participants can celebrate their success and share their stories with friends and family in the post-race beer garden.

In addition to the race, there will be a CORE Health & Wellness Fair on Saturday, June 1, 2024, in the Lake Newport parking lot. This fair will provide resources for training and an opportunity to meet the RST leadership team, participate in raffles, and make new friends.
