Join Our Run to Restore Jose Rizal Park!
WHAT: Community run, festival, and fundraiser to celebrate Filipino history and heroes, and support our park!
WHEN: Saturday, June 21, 2025 (Community run at 10am; Celebration at 12pm)
WHERE: Jefferson Park (3801 Beacon Ave S, Seattle 98108) to Dr. Jose Rizal Park (1007 12th Ave S, Seattle WA 98144)
WHO: All-ages, family friendly
COST: Festival: Free! Run registration fees: $30 early bird, $40 late reg (after 6/13/2025).
Join the SIKLAB Coalition as we celebrate Dr. Jose Rizal’s birthday and legacy with a community run in the Beacon Hill neighborhood culminating in a celebration at Dr. Jose Rizal Park! Dr. Jose Rizal Park is a historical testament to the longstanding contributions of the Washington Filipino community to the Beacon Hill neighborhood. We are holding this run to celebrate our local and international Filipino history and honor our heroes, like Dr. Jose Rizal. We also want to raise funds to support community-led efforts to restore and provide care for our park, while also calling for services that will help the people of Beacon Hill -- including housing, jobs, and healthcare. Join us to defend Filipino history, call for community care for Beacon Hill, and uplift our heroes -- past and present! Can't wait to run with you!
