Robert J. Lynes Memorial Road Race

Join us for the Robert J. Lynes Memorial Road Race, a 5K run/walk race with a kids Fun Run, held in memory of Bobby Lynes, a lifelong resident of Meriden. The race will take place at Hubbard Park in Meriden, CT.

Bob Lynes was an active member of the community, volunteering for various organizations such as the Meriden Daffodil Festival, Meriden Men's Softball League, Meriden Girls Softball League, Meriden Soccer League, Boy Scout Troop 43, Castle Craig Playhouse, Francis T. Maloney High School Props and Paints, and the Francis T. Maloney Marching Band Pit Crew.

Monetary donations and proceeds from the road race will go towards The Robert J. Lynes Memorial Fund, dedicated to the preservation and beautification of Hubbard Park.

The race day schedule includes participant check-in opening at 8:00 am, followed by the Kids Fun Run at 9:15 am, and the 5K Road Race at 9:30 am.

Entry fees for the 5K race are $25 for registrations before October 1, $30 for registrations before November 1, and $35 on race day. Registration is available only through the online portal. The Kids Run is free for all participants.

All 5K registrants before October 21, 2023, will receive a complimentary T-shirt.

Awards will be given to the top 3 men and top 3 women. After the race, there will be a raffle for gift cards and baskets, with each race registrant receiving a free raffle ticket.
