Join us for the "Run for a New Day" 5K in beautiful Galveston, TX! This inspiring event is dedicated to raising awareness and funds for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) and mental health initiatives. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun way to support a great cause, this event is perfect for everyone.

Event Details:

• Date: September 13, 2025
• Race Start: 7:30am CDT
• Location: Galveston Island Brewing (8423 Stewart Rd. Galveston, TX 77554)
• Route: Start and Finish is at Galveston Island Brewing. The route will go west on Stewart Road, south on 85th, and then west on the Seawall. Water Stop located at the turnaround.
• Awards: Overall Male & Female, Age Groups Awards 1st-3rd Place: 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and up.

What to Expect:

• A scenic and fast 5K route along the paved seawall overlooking the Gulf.
• Chip timed
• Fun and engaging activities for all ages
• Opportunities to connect with others who are passionate about mental health
• Everyone receives 1 custom event pint glass, commemorative event t-shirt, runners (21+) receive- 2 GIB beers
• Post-race after party at Galveston Island Brewery
• Free race photos available online after the race
• Strollers and dogs welcome!
