Description: The Run for Recovery 5K supports the Athens Recovery Center and Inclusive Recovery Athens. Acceptance Recovery Center is a peer-led recovery residence, and Inclusive Recovery Athens is a peer-based addiction recovery support center.

Events

• Run for Recovery 5K Walk / Run: $25 (price increases to $30 after October 31, 2025), 10:00 AM EST. Registration opens June 16, 2025.
• Fun Run: Free (t-shirt $10), 9:30 AM EST. Open to ages 1-14. Registration opens June 16, 2025.
• Virtual 5K: $25, Registration opens June 16, 2025.
• Phantom Participant: $20, 9:30 AM EST. Registration opens June 16, 2025. T-shirt guaranteed for registrations before October 31, 2025.

Race Day Schedule

• 8:30 AM: Packet Pickup and Race Day Registration
• 9:30 AM: Fun Run
• 10:00 AM: Run for Recovery 5K Run/Walk
• 11:00 AM: Awards Ceremony

Courses

• Run for Recovery 5K Walk / Run: 3.1 miles, paved surfaces inside Sandy Creek Park
• Fun Run: 1 mile, circle at Sandy Creek Park
• Virtual 5K: 3.1 miles, anywhere

Awards

Awards will be presented to top finishers in various categories (overall male/female, masters male/female, overall non-binary).
