Distance: 25km (12.5km ascent and 12.5km descent)
Start Location: Awa Awa Rata Reserve
Route: Ascend through lush native bush for the first 4.5km, transition to rugged alpine terrain, and continue along the Mt Hutt road to the ski field car park. You'll enjoy panoramic views before the descent back to the reserve.
Difficulty: Advanced. Ideal for seasoned runners looking for a challenge with significant elevation gain and technical terrain.
Distance: 12km (6km ascent and 6km descent)
Start Location: Awa Awa Rata Reserve
Route: Perfect for those looking for a shorter but still challenging run, this route will take you halfway up the Mt Hutt road before returning to the reserve.
Difficulty: Intermediate. Suited for runners looking to test themselves without the full ascent.
Elevation Gain: The 25km course includes approximately 900 meters of elevation gain, making this a demanding yet rewarding run.
Runner Support: There will be volunteers, medical staff, and safety marshals positioned throughout the course.
Medals and Prizes: Finishers will receive a custom Run Mt Hutt Medal, and the top 3 finishers in each age category will be recognised.
Eco-Friendly Event: We are committed to preserving the environment. Please respect the trails, this will be a cup free event. Eco friendly cups can be purchased when entering or at CJM'S Events Online Shop.
