Run The Rock

Event Overview

Welcome to Run The Rock, a premier trail running challenge held within the beautiful Smith Rock State Park and the Crooked River National Grasslands. This event offers loop-style races for both 50K and Half Marathon distances, with runners enjoying fantastic views of the Cascade Range, including sightings of Mt Hood and Mt Bachelor.

The 50K race is an expansive course that includes the renowned Misery Ridge, providing participants with almost all the trails of the Park, while also passing by the iconic Monkey Face rock formation. Expect a total elevation gain and loss of 5500ft, with 85% of the course on single-track trails.

The Half Marathon features similar stunning scenery and includes about 2500ft of climbing within its 13.1 miles, with 90% of the route on single-track trails.

Refund Policy

Due to the nature of the event, there are no transfers or exceptions in the registration policy. If cancellation is more than 30 days before the event, a 50% credit towards the next event will be offered, otherwise no refunds are available.

Discount for Veterans

A 25% discount is available for veterans and active military members. Please contact us before registering to apply your discount.

Registration Fees

• 50K Registration: $157.92 ($173.90 after May 31)
• 1/2 Marathon Registration: $120.65 ($131.30 after May 31)
