Run Wild! 5K and 10K

The Center for Wildlife Studies is holding its 3rd annual Run Wild! fundraiser in cooperation with Marshall Wharf Brewing Company in Belfast, Maine. This year’s events are a 5K and 10K fun run. Come join us for a fun run/walk on the Belfast Rail Trail and rural roads along the Passagassawakeag River. Marshall Wharf will host a post-race party featuring Grateful Dead music by DownEast Dead. We will award prizes for top finishers and best costumes. All race entrants will receive a ticket for one beer from Marshall Wharf. Come jam with us! Funds from the race go to supporting wildlife conservation in Maine and the Center for Wildlife Studies' commitment to delivering community education programs in the region, encouraging environmental awareness and stewardship. This event is the third of six events in the RunBelfast 2025 race series held in Belfast, Maine (more at https://www.runbelfast.org/). The series includes: Paces for PAWS 5K - Jun 14; Lions Kilted Canter 5K - Jul 19; Rotary Bug Run 5K - August 16; CWS Run Wild! 5K and 10K - Sep 13; WCHV Hospice 5K - Oct 4; and Lions Ghostly Gallop - October 25. RunBelfast is supported by theCity of Belfast Parks & Recreation Department.

Event details and schedule

When: Saturday, September 13, 2024 11:00 a.m. start
Where: Marshall Wharf and Front Street, Belfast, Maine
Race-day registration and Packet pick-up: Race day between 10:00 – 10:45 a.m.
Fees: Pre-registration $40 through September 10; $45 September 11 thru race-day. Military $30. Registration includes t-shirt to tie-dye, one beer, and afternoon jamming (Note: T-shirts may not be available for registrations received after September 1).
Awards: Overall female and male for both races; then top female and male in each of 3 age groups; best wildlife costumes for both races
What to bring: Please bring ID for your complimentary beer ticket
What to wear: Come dressed to Run Wild! Animal costumes encouraged! Prizes for best costumes!
