Description

Please join us for the Run with Heart 5K! This event is an out and back run along the Satilla Waterfront Boardwalk and Greenway and supports Mamie Lou Gross Elementary Running Club. We have 97 students in our running club. This is a fundraiser to help raise money to purchase running club t-shirts for all of our students who reach a half-marathon status by the end of the school year. We would also like to be able to purchase running shoes for students in need. Our running club will also use this event as a fundraiser to show support for the family of Tate Harper who passed away recently. 100% of the online donations will go to the Harper family. In addition, $10 from each 5K race entry and $5 from each Tater Tot Trot Kids' Run entry will be donated.

Event Information

Race Day Registration: 7:30 - 8:15

5k Run: 8:30 am

Kids' 1 Mile Run: 9:00 am

Price Increases: After February 7

Age Groups: 5K: 10 and under; 11-18, 19-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60 plus (Grand Masters) 1 Mile : 5&U, 6-9,10-12 Will also be recognized

All race participants registered before 1/30 will receive a race shirt!

All 5k finishers will receive a custom finisher's medal!

Runners are encouraged to wear running gear with pink, red, white, and lots of hearts!

$5 of every race entry for the Tater Tot 1 Mile Youth Run will go to the Harper family in honor of their son Tate.

100% of all online donations will go to the Harper family to assist with expenses following their loss of their son Tate.

Pre-Race Packet Pickup

There will be an optional pre-race packet pickup held at the Mamie Lou Gross Elementary school this Friday 4:30-6:30. School is located at: 277 Roberts Path, Woodbine, GA 31569. Pickup will be be around to the back side of the school at those times.

Parking

Race day parking at the Satilla Waterfront Park will be limited, and with over 270 runners registered at this time, it is sure to fill up quickly. Please allow extra time on race day as you may be directed to use off site & local street parking.
