RUNWAY 5K & 1M KIDS FUN RUN for the IGD Competition Team

Mark your calendars and register today for the COOLEST AND MOST UNIQUE 5K IN THE FLORIDA KEYS! Please join us on the evening of Sat, Nov 1, 2025, for the 2nd Annual RUNWAY 5K AND 1M KIDS FUN RUN. Both events will take place at a private airfield located in Summerland Key, FL during the annual Fly-In Event. Participants will be treated to displays of a variety of unique and fascinating aircraft along the course, including private planes, helicopters, ultralights, and more!

Come be a part of a great race for a great cause! All proceeds from this event will go directly to support the Island Groove Dance Junior Level Competition Dance Team. This is a family friendly race open to all ages and abilities. Whether you run, jog, walk, dance, or groove, everyone is welcome!

Race Details

• Location: Summerland Key Park, 300 Airport Drive N, Summerland Key, FL 33042, US
• Registration: Online registration ends on Thursday, October 30, 2025. Late registration available on race day.

Courses

• 1M KIDS FUN RUN - Distance: 1 Mile, Ages: 10 & Under, Price: $15-$20
• 5K RUN/WALK - Distance: 3.1 Miles, Price: $25-$35
• VIRTUAL RUN/WALK/GROOVE - Distance: 3.1 Miles (no giveaway/prizes), Price: $10

Awards

Set to reward top finishers in various categories for both the 1M Kids Fun Run and the 5K Run/Walk.

Important Notes

• No unregistered participants allowed on the runway before 5:00 PM or after 6:00 PM.
• Participants must wear their official race number visibly at all times.
• Absolutely NO littering on the course.
