Join us for the third annual Scouting the Moon Trail Races, hosted by Scouts BSA Troop 198. Whether you're running the 5K through Moon Park or tackling the 10K through Montour Woods, your footsteps will help shape the future of Scouting.

More Than Just a Race

Scouting isn't just about campfires and knots — it’s a powerful program that prepares young people to become leaders with character, integrity, and a commitment to service. Through the Scout Oath and Scout Law, Scouts learn: Leadership through action, Responsibility and goal setting, Community service and citizenship, Resilience through outdoor adventure, Lifelong values like trustworthiness, kindness, and reverence. These lessons build confident, ethical leaders ready to meet the challenges of tomorrow — and your participation helps make that possible.

Where Your Support Goes

Proceeds from this event help fund: New camping gear like stoves, patrol boxes, canopies and lights, Merit badges, rank awards, and leadership recognition, Scholarships for summer camp and high adventure programs, Year-round outdoor activities and service projects

Race Highlights:

• 5K Trail Run through Moon Park
• 10K Trail Challenge through the Montour Woods
• All runners receive a race T-shirt (while supplies last)
• Custom wooden finisher medals for all participants
• Awards for top Male & Female finishers in both distances
