About the Event
Shiitake 5K Run/Walk
Come join us for our annual Shiitake 5k on October 18th, 2025 in Madisonville, TX. The race course will be at Lake Madison with a start time of 8:30am. We will release the 5k course a month prior to the event. This is a chip timed event.
Registration:
- $40/person until October 3rd, 2025
- $45/person after October 3rd, 2025 until 8:00am the day of the race
Packet pick-up: Friday evening, October 17th, 6pm - 7pm at the Truman Kimbro Center, 113 W Trinity. Packets will also be available morning of the race.
Lil' Shiitake Kids Mile: Start time 9:30am, registration fee is $15.00/child.
T-shirts: Guaranteed for participants registered by September 19th, 2025.
Awards: Medals for all 5k participants. Awards given to 5k (13+): Top Overall Female, Top Overall Male, 13-18 years (1st, 2nd & 3rd), 19-39 years (1st, 2nd & 3rd), 40-60 years (1st, 2nd & 3rd), 61+ years (1st, 2nd & 3rd). Awards given for Kids Mile (12 & Under): 1st, 2nd, 3rd.
