Event Details

We're back! We are excited to announce that we will be back to our original start finish area near the new Casper Mountain Trails Center (9301 Casper Mountain Rd, Casper, WY 82601). Our parking, start/finish, and post-race festivities will be taking place here. This year, we are thrilled to introduce Wyoming's first and only true Backyard Ultra, made famous by Gary Cantrell (Lazarus Lake).

Race Options

• 8 Miler: A challenging 8-mile race comprising 2 laps of 4.17 miles.
• Backyard Ultra: A unique race format where participants run a 4.17-mile lap every hour on the hour until only one runner remains.

Course Information

Set amidst the beauty of Casper Mountain, the course includes forested XC ski and single-track trails with elevations ranging from 7800 to 8100 feet, providing a thrilling challenge.

Registration Details

Online registration closes Thursday, July 17th at 11:59 p.m. Late registration is available at packet pickup on Friday, July 18th (cash or check only). Please note there will be no refunds or rollovers given for registration.
