Sledgehammer Beach Run

The Sledgehammer Beach Run takes place on Saturday, April 11, 2026. This event honors the memory of Dr. E. B. Sledge and all combat veterans. Choose from in-person or virtual races in half marathon, 10k, and 5k distances. The in-person races are held on the beach at North Topsail Beach, NC. The half marathon has a 4-hour cutoff time. T-shirts are available for purchase. This is a rain or shine event.

• Half Marathon Virtual Race: 13.1 miles
• 10k Virtual Race: 6.2 miles
