Event Overview

The Sole Survivor Backyard Ultra will take place on Friday, September 5, 2025, starting at 8:00 AM at 1200 Carrier Rd., Richland, WA. Registration closes on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at 11:59 PM PT.

Race Format

This unique race format allows participants to run a 4.16-mile loop every hour, continuing until only one runner remains. The last person standing becomes the finisher!

Awards & Amenities

All runners who complete 100 miles will receive a custom belt buckle. There will be one aid station available, providing typical aid station food, and a BBQ will be held later in the day.

Rules

All runners must check in 30 minutes before the race starts.
A whistle will signal the start of each hourly lap.
Runners are disqualified if they do not complete a loop within an hour.

FAQs

Visitors can camp and set up their own canopies. Runners can have support crews, but no pacing is allowed.
