About the Event
Sorghum Day - John Lively Memorial 5k Run
Date: Saturday, October 25, 2025
Location: Intersection of 2nd St. and Wewoka Ave. (Main Street) Wewoka, OK 74884 US
About the Race: The 31st running of the John Lively Memorial 5K race. Honoring long-time Rotarian and community leader John Lively, the race/walk will start and finish in front of the Seminole Nation Museum at 6th St. and Wewoka Ave. After the race participants can enjoy the parade and other festival activities going on just a few blocks away in downtown Wewoka.
Cost: Pre-registration: $30; Race day registration: $35. The first 50 entrants will receive race t-shirts.
Course: A new 5k course is being developed, but it will start and finish at the Seminole Nation Museum just south of downtown Wewoka.
Awards: Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 overall male and female finishers. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 males and females in each age group (USATF age groups will be used).
