About the Event

The Southern States 200 is a 200-mile mountain trail run following the Legendary Pinhoti Trail from near Dalton, Georgia to the top of Mt Cheaha, the highest point in Alabama. With 27,628 feet of elevation gain, runners have 100 hours to complete the journey. The course is fully marked with aid stations offering 'real food' and medical personnel. Register early and save!

Volunteer

Volunteers earn $150 credit toward the next year's 200 for every full day worked. Credits can be transferred to others or exchanged for race entries. Running clubs staffing aid stations receive discounted entry for club members.

The Southern States 200 is an Endurance Adventure

The focus is on personal challenge, camaraderie, and self-discovery rather than competition. Embrace the journey, test your endurance, and support fellow runners along the way.

SS200 Date Change or Run Cancellation

The event reserves the right to change the run date or cancel due to uncontrollable conditions. Refund and transfer policies apply.

SS200 Refund and Transfer Policy
