Sri Chinmoy 5K & 7-Mile in Prospect Park

Event Overview

Join us on Sunday, March 9, for the Sri Chinmoy 5K & 7-Mile race in Prospect Park, featuring a scenic loop course along Park Drive. The races start at 9 AM.

Sponsored by the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team in cooperation with the Prospect Park Alliance and NYC Parks Dept.

The Course

A scenic loop (with some hills), traveling counterclockwise on the lane of Park Drive, through forest and meadow. The 5K is just short of one complete loop of the park, while the 7-Mile course includes two loops, plus an out-and-back section.

Awards

Men’s and Women’s awards for both races:

• Under 50: Top 7
• 50-59: Top 3
• 60-69: Top 2
• 70 and over: First place

Custom medals for all finishers. Awards ceremonies at:

• 5K: 9:50 AM
• 7-Mile: 10:30 AM

Registration and Fees

Same price for both distances:

• $29 through Feb. 9
• $33 through Feb. 27
• $37 through Mar. 7, 5 PM (registration closes)

No race-day registration. Entries cannot be transferred. Utilize our Referral Rewards Program for a chance to race for free!

Time Limits

• 5K: 1 hour (20 min/mile pace)
• 7-Mile: 1 hr, 45 min (15 min/mile pace)

Age Restrictions

• 5K: 13 & up
• 7-Mile: 15 & up

Event Cancellation Policy

If the event is canceled due to unsafe conditions, the event may convert to a virtual one and registered participants will receive race giveaways and finisher medals by mail.

Results

Results will be posted on the race webpage within 24 hours.
