Strawberry Jam 1K and 5K Fun Run and Walk

Event Overview

The 4th annual Strawberry Jam 1K/5K Fun Run/Walk organized by the Friends of Watsonville Parks and Community Services and Rotary Club of Freedom will be held on Saturday, August 2nd, 2025. The event starts and ends at Landmark Elementary School in Watsonville while Ramsay Park is undergoing renovations.

Course Details

The course includes an exciting exploration of Watsonville's beautiful slough system, with an out and back section on Ohlone Parkway. No dogs are allowed, but families and strollers are welcome.

Event Schedule

Check-in on race day begins at 6:45 am at Landmark Elementary School parking lot. The Kids 1K Fun Run/Walk starts promptly at 7:45 am. The 5K Fun Run/Walk for ages 12+ will begin at 8 am. There will be portable restrooms and water stations available throughout the race.

Registration and Fees

Register on Active.com. The registration fees are as follows:

• Kids 1K (Ages 12 and under): $10
• 5K (Ages 12+): $35 until 05/02/2025, $40 until 07/02/2025, $45 on the day of event.

Ribbons awarded to top 3 in each category. Strawberry-themed socks will be given to all pre-registrants over age 12.

Parking Information

Limited parking is available at Landmark Elementary School. Experienced runners are encouraged to warm up by parking at Ramsay Park Nature Center and walking the .5 miles to the race start.
