Sugar Skull Fun Run
The 11th Annual Bernalillo County Sugar Skull Fun Run takes place on Sunday, October 26, 2025 in Albuquerque, NM. This year's event includes a timed 5K for runners and walkers, and an untimed one-mile strut and stroll for strollers and pets. Children ages five and under can participate for free.
Location: Along the scenic Tingley Drive between Central Ave and 8th Street.
Parking: Parking is limited; carpooling is encouraged. Free parking is available at the ABQ BioPark Aquarium (2601 Central Ave NW, Albuquerque, NM 87104) and the Monte Carlo Steakhouse (3916 Central Ave SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105), with complimentary shuttle service from 6:45 AM to noon.
Race Details: Participants can choose from a timed 5K or an untimed 1-mile option. Children 5 and under participate for free. Race shirts are available for purchase until September 29. Pets are welcome on the 1-mile course. Food trucks and the Muerto Market will be open to the public. This is a rain or shine event. NO REFUNDS.
Packet Pick-Up: Friday, October 24, and Saturday, October 25 from 11 AM to 5 PM at Sports Systems, 6915 Montgomery Blvd, Albuquerque, NM, 87109.
