Description

Get ready to chase the sunshine—even if it refuses to show up! The Surf & Sun 5K splashes into Tucson at Curtis Park in Tucson at the beginning of February, bringing beach-day vibes to a decidedly not beach-day forecast. While the temperatures may be brisk, the scenery more than makes up for it. This beautiful course offers an incredible 360-degree view of the Rillito River (whether there's water flowing or not), giving runners a stunning backdrop of sparkling water and winter skies the entire way. Every participant will earn a custom finisher medal, a bright reminder that you braved the chill and conquered the course. We’ll also be presenting awards in all the usual 5-year age groups, celebrating fast finishes across every division. Bundle up, bring your best sunny attitude, and join us as we surf the winter waves at the Surf & Sun 5K!

Awards

All 5K participants registered on or by February 5 are guaranteed an awesome shirt! Great long sleeve shirts! 5K Awards as follows: Top 3 Overall M/F, Top 3 Overall Master's M/F, Top 3 Overall Grand Masters M/F, Top 3 Overall Senior Masters M/F, Top 3 in 5 Year age groups (10 & Under - 75+).

Groups & Teams

Organize your Surf Team! Grab your friends, co-workers, neighbors or family and participate as a Team. Teams of 5 or more receive discounts off their registration for the 5K or virtual 5K.

VIRTUAL RUNNING- HOW IT WORKS & LINK FOR TIME SUBMISSION

Can't make it out to the event site on race day? Still want to participate or support the cause and have a shot at an award? Or, maybe you saw the shirt and said: "Sweet...I want one!" Then, the virtual race is for you. Run when & where you want, just submit your time by end of Race Day. We'll ship out virtual packages the Monday after event date! *Shipping available for continental US only.
