About the Event

Swim Miami is back on April 6th, 2025 at the Miami Marine Stadium and it's our 20TH ANNIVAERSARY! Set in an amazing pristine, generally calm water environment that will definitely allow for all ages and abilities to enjoy the fast growing sport of Open Water Swimming. Challenge yourself to one of five amazing races: 800M, The Miami Mile, The 5K swim, The 10K swim, or the K9-Krawl! This is the premiere open water event that you wouldn't want to miss in the USA! 1 lap for the Mile 3 laps for the 5K 6 laps for the 10K

Event details and schedule

PRE-EVENT REQUIREMENTS – All participants must arrive one hour prior to race start to ensure adequate time to check in or come to our pre race check-in on Friday, April 4th and Saturday, April 5th, location TBD. Changes will be allowed for a $10 fee.

TIMELINE

Friday, April 4th and Saturday, April 5th 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM – Event pre-check-in (location TBD) Sunday, April 6th, 2025 8:00 am – 9:00 am Check-In

RACE STARTING TIMES:

9:00 AM – 800 meter swim begins 9:30 AM – 10K swim begins 10:30 AM – 5K swim begins 12:00 AM – Miami Mile swim begins 12:30 AM – K9-Krawl begins 1:00 PM – Course closes completely – AWARDS CEREMONY

Award Ceremony: We will award the first 3 male and female overall swimmers (not by age group) after each race. Every swimmer walks away with a limited edition finisher patch. These are truly special and a great memento for the year you've had in open water swimming. Time Limits: 10K: 4 hours 5K: 3 hours

SWIM DETAILS

Sanctioned By: World Open Water Swim Association – WOWSA Water Temperature: 81-82 degrees (F) Safety: Current World Open Water Swimming Association (WOWSA) rules will govern this meet. Safety rules as outlined by WOWSA and as recommended by the referee, will be in effect. Water Entry: This event will employ an in-water start and beach finish. All entries will be feet first and controlled by the safety officer. There are no racing dives permitted. Hydration Station: There will be a hydration station with water and electrolytes provided by the race crew this year but you must assign someone to provide your feed.

PROCEEDS BENEFITS NON-PROFIT Proceeds benefit the H2Os Foundation. The H2Os Foundation through grants, generous donations, events, and strategic corporate partnerships offers children and youth a unique opportunity to learn a lifesaving skill, and more importantly a life-long commitment to a healthy lifestyle.
