The Bryan McCauley 5K ~Your Story Isn't Over~ is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2026. This event includes a 5K Run/Walk, a 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk, and a 5K or 1 Mile Virtual Run/Walk.

Our focus for 2026 is Mental Health Awareness. Our mission is to bring awareness to Veteran Mental Health and share resources for Veterans. The 5K is being held in honor of Bryan McCauley, a Marine Corps veteran, former police officer/detective, and firefighter/EMT with over 14 years in recovery.

100% of the proceeds will be donated to Alpha Bravo Canine, an organization that raises, trains, and donates trained service dogs to U.S. military veterans suffering from PTSD, TBI, and other combat-related disabilities.

5K DETAILS:

The run/walk will start and end on the track at Octorara High School. The 5K course follows a trail around the school, including small hills, grassy areas, and pavement. An option to stay on the track for the 5K is also available. The one-mile fun run will remain on the track (4 laps = 1 mile).

Dogs (with the exception of service dogs) are NOT permitted on school grounds.

VIRTUAL OPTION:

If you cannot attend in person, you can participate virtually by running on your treadmill or favorite trail. Virtual participants can order a t-shirt to be delivered after April 18.

In-person participants will receive a t-shirt and finishers medal.

Registration Information:

• Early Bird Registration (on or before March 20, 2026): 5K Run/Walk - $50, 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk - $45. Includes t-shirt and medal for live participants.
• Day of Event Registration: 5K - $55, 1 Mile Fun Run - $50. Only cash and check accepted.
• Registration opens at 8:00 AM and closes at 9:30 AM on the day of the event.
• Deadline to sign-up and receive a t-shirt is March 20, 2026.

Virtual Registration:

• Price: $30. Registration ends April 18, 2026 at 11:59pm EDT.
• Virtual participants can order a t-shirt.
