About the Cheshire 100 Ultra Run

This race is inspired by the Cheshire canal ring route, which the race follows along. Mark, the lead coach from New Era Community boxing completed the route in 2020 and in doing so raised money for Cheshire young carers. Since completing the route, it has been our ambition to promote the Cheshire canal ring with this event offering the opportunity to take part in a exciting, affordable ultra running event.

There are no entry qualifications other than that you must be over twenty years old and up for giving the race your best effort. Runners of all abilities and experience levels are welcomed. Entrants should, though, be aware that they must be able to maintain a rate of progress in line with an overall time limit of 36 hours.

The race will start on Saturday 5th September at 06:00 and finish at 1800 on Sunday 6th September. Collection of numbers will be possible from 05:00 on the day of the race.

  • No qualification needed - previous experience of running a marathon is sufficient
  • Easy route navigation (detailed maps and clear pre-race guidance provided)
  • Accessible route for supports crews/ buddy runners
  • Check points
  • Generous 36 hour cut off time
  • Low cost entry rate with the option of a duo ticket (2 entries at a reduced rate)
  • Pre race advice and support for every participant
