The Ellerbe Marathon and Half Marathon is held annually in Ellerbe, NC. The event includes a marathon and a half-marathon.

History: The Ellerbe Marathon first ran in 1992. It's the oldest continuously held marathon in North Carolina.

Courses: Both courses are USATF certified. The courses start and finish near the Ellerbe Rescue Squad headquarters. Runners will complete a loop through the countryside before returning to Ellerbe. Marathoners will complete the loop twice.
