The Extra Mile is a vibrant, joyful event honoring individuals with Down syndrome. It benefits the Lowcountry Down Syndrome Society, offering support, opportunities, and services.

Whether you’re a seasoned runner, a weekend warrior, or just looking for a fun and meaningful way to connect with your community, The Extra Mile is for you! This event combines fitness, family fun, music, community spirit, and purpose.

• All Levels Welcome: Running, walking, or community event participation.
• Live Music: At the starting line, along the course, and at the finish-line celebration.
• Refreshing Drinks: Available on-site.
• Photo Opportunities: Custom step-and-repeat backdrop.
• Heartwarming Vibes: Celebrate, cheer, and connect with inspiring individuals, their families, and the community.

Registration & Logistics

• Online Registration Closes: Thursday prior to the race.
• Race Day Registration: Available for $35/$40.
• Packet Pickup: Friday at Howe to run (11 am to 6 pm).
• Event Day Pickup: Available 7 am to 7:45 am.
• Event Start: 8:00 AM EDT.
• Included: Free photos, Finisher Medal.
• Note: NO SHIRT for this event.
