About the Event
The Fox Bikepacking Race
A two-day stage race featuring 60+ mile days through the heart of the North Shore wilds. The race starts in Finland, MN on Saturday, July 26th and ends in Finland, MN on Sunday, July 27th. Riders will travel to Grand Marais for an overnight camping experience. The Fox is a timed event with a lottery system for entry. Registration is open from May 1st to May 8th at 9 AM. 75 participants will be randomly selected.
Day 1: Finland to Grand Marais (71 miles, 4000 ft climbing)
Day 2: Grand Marais to Finland (64 miles, 2700 ft climbing)
Note: Routes are subject to change. We recommend a rig that can accommodate tires widths starting at 40mm.
The Fox is an excellent introduction to timed, bikepack style racing. Plenty of time is built in to set up camp, relax, eat and socialize after each day's racing.
