About the Event
The Gambler Last Man Standing
Register Saturday, Feb 28, 2026 @ 7:00 AM. This race is a lap-style competition with a 2-mile loop. Each loop must be completed in under 40 minutes. If you fail to complete a loop in under 40 minutes, you are eliminated. The competition continues until only one competitor remains. At 100 miles, the rules change (decreasing time limits, no more poker chips or cashing out, no pacers).
Poker Chips: Every completed lap earns a poker chip ($1). You can cash out at 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, or 100 miles. Once you cash out, you're out of the competition.
Last Man Standing: To win, you must start and finish your last lap solo within the time limit.
Awards: Medals for half-marathon and marathon distances, custom 50-mile poker chip, 100-mile belt buckle, and the Last Man Standing Bucket (starting at $200).
Location: Oak Mountain State Park, Pelham, Alabama. Check-in: 5:30 AM - 6:30 AM. Race start: 7:00 AM.
