Join Phoenix International for our inaugural Phoenix Dash: 5K Fun Run, Walk, and Roll – a celebration of creativity, community, and the power of youth to change the world!

Whether you're a seasoned runner, a casual walker, or rolling along with family and friends, this event is designed for ALL abilities and ALL ages. Come dressed in your most creative, family-friendly costume and help us raise funds to support arts, education, and cultural programs for Charles County youth.

Costume Contest Categories

Show off your creativity! Costume Guidelines: Family-friendly, safe for running/walking, weather-appropriate. Think literary characters, famous artists, superheroes, fall themes, or career inspirations!

Race Day Schedule

• 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM: Registration
• 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM: Free Flu Shots & Health Screenings
• 9:30 AM: Welcome Remarks
• 9:45 AM: Race Instructions & Warm-Up (led by PISOTA students!)
• 10:00 AM: Race Begins!
• 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM: Celebration & Community Fun

Accessibility

The Phoenix Dash is designed to be inclusive! Our "Walk and Roll" component welcomes participants using wheelchairs, strollers, or other mobility devices. We are committed to ensuring all community members can participate.

Media & Photos

Professional photographers will capture the magic! Photos will be shared on our social media channels and available for download. By participating, you consent to being photographed for promotional purposes.

Volunteer Opportunities

Want to support but not ready to run? We need 15 volunteers to make this event successful! Volunteer roles include: Registration table support, Course marshals, Water station attendants, Setup and cleanup crew, Photography and social media, General event support. All volunteers receive: Event swag, refreshments, and our eternal gratitude! Select the "Volunteer Registration" ticket to sign up.

Weather Policy

The Phoenix Dash happens rain or shine! In the event of severe weather, the event will be postponed. Participants will be notified via email and social media 48 hours prior to the event if postponement is necessary.

About Phoenix International Incorporated

Phoenix International Incorporated is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to developing an ecosystem where rural youth gain access to critically needed arts, culture, and educational experiences that challenge and prepare them to take stake in the global economy. We operate Phoenix International School of the Arts (PISOTA), Charles County's first public charter school, alongside multiple creative youth development community programs serving elementary through high school students throughout Southern Maryland.
