A Tahoe Snowshoe Running Tradition!

Always a fun and challenging event, join the Donner Party Mountain Runners (DPMR) for our annual Racing Gnome Snowshoe Race on February 8, 2026! There will be two options – a 5K and a 10K distance. All experience levels are encouraged to race and have fun!

The registration fee is $25, and DPMR members get $5 off with your member discount code as well as additional event swag. Join today to get your members-only discount code and to claim your goodies at the race!

Thanks to a generous donation by Alpenglow Sports, as another benefit of membership we have a limited number of snowshoes that are available for use. These will be available on a first-come-first-served basis and we cannot guarantee they will be available for your race. Several local Truckee-Tahoe shops also rent snowshoes if you don’t already own a pair.

Parking is somewhat limited in the lot and on the other side of highway 89, so please carpool from town.
