The 3rd Rat Race, hosted by the Huron Booster Club, is an annual fundraiser to support all sports offered at Huron! Home of the River Rats, Huron is a comprehensive high school in the Ann Arbor School District, with a student population of nearly 1900 students. It has one of the largest populations of Schools of Choice students and low-income students in Washtenaw County.

Why is hosting important? Research shows that high schoolers who participate in sports manage stress better, feel a stronger sense of community, and are at low risk of engaging in risky behaviors. We want to make interscholastic athletics accessible to all students. Huron students and staff can register for a discounted rate. Must provide school ID at check-in! Event will happen 'rain or shine' so be prepared for whatever Mother Nature sends us! There are no refunds

Day of Race Registration/Pickup/Check-In: Opens at 8:30 and will be located underneath Huron's iconic 'Arch' at the heart of campus

Parking: can be made in the campus lots. Preferred location is the lot by the football stadium or the lot by the Huron Spirit Rock / Tennis courts. Entrances to both off of Fuller Road.

• Start under the arch, head east out school driveway.
• Turn right at east end of stadium and follow school drive 'around the building parallel to Fuller.
• Turn left at the T-driveway and head south to Fuller.
• At Spirit Rock entrance (light) to campus off of Fuller, turn left and go east toward Huron Parkway
• At corner of Huron Parkway and Fuller, turn left and proceed north up Huron Parkway. (The 1-Mile is just past the softball diamond)
• Cross the two school driveways as well as the condo entrance and proceed toward the intersection of Huron Parkway and Glazier
• Water station and turnaround point are at the intersection of Huron Parkway and Glazier.
• Turn around
• Heading back south down Huron Parkway, cross the condominium entrance and take the first entrance into campus.
• 1st entrance to campus is the 2 mile mark
• Follow the crescent school drive back out to Huron Parkway adjacent to the practice field.
• When reaching Huron Parkway, turn right and reverse route, heading south on Huron Parkway
• Turn right off of Huron Parkway onto Fuller Road, heading west.
• Proceed on Fuller past the first campus entrance at the Football field all the way down to the Spirit rock.
• When reaching the traffic light at the Spirit Rock, turn right and head north into campus.
• At the school drive T-intersection, turn right into the heart of campus, heading east
• When you pass the student parking lot, turn right onto the sidewalk and head to the FINISH, under the arch.
