The Tick is a point to point 50 mile single track trail race with an additional 7.41 miles. Participants will traverse through the scenic landscapes of the Ocala National Forest, encountering diverse ecosystems, lakes, prairies, marshes, tall pines, and hardwood forests.

Runners will need to be aware that mandatory crews are required, as there isn't sufficient water supplies along the route. The longest distance between aid stops is approximately 10.5 miles. Furthermore, a means of communication for all runners and crews is essential for safety.

This wilderness event provides a unique opportunity to spot native wildlife such as deer, bobcats, bears, and various bird species.
