The Whitefish Pond Skim

Join us for the annual Whitefish Pond Skim on April 5th, 2025! This thrilling event features participants skiing or snowboarding over a custom-built pond in their best costumes for a chance to win a share of the $1,500 cash purse.

Event Details

• Where: Lift Plaza, Whitefish Mountain Resort
• Registration Fee: $50
• Participants: Must be 16 years old or older

Schedule

• 7:00 AM – Mandatory pre-registration closes
• 1:00 PM – All participants check-in in costume
• 2:00 PM – Competitors meeting
• 2:45 PM – Start Skimming!
• 4:30 PM – Awards Ceremony

Rules

• Helmets are required
• Costumes are mandatory
• No alcohol or visible intoxication allowed
• No throwing of snowballs

Awards

• Best Costume: Winner $300, Runner Up $100
• Best Male/Female Skier and Snowboarder: $200 each
• Best Crash: Winner $200, Runner Up $100
