Tulip Festival Road Race

Race Info

The annual Tulip Festival Road Race in Orange City, Iowa is a mainstay on the third weekend of May each year. The 2024 edition will feature a scenic Orange City route starting and ending downtown with the last stretch along the Tulip lined Central Avenue from Northwestern College, past the historic courthouse, and through the Dutch architecture and festival features while finishing next to the Windmill in Windmill Park.

In 2024, we will feature a 5k run/walk and a 1 mile fun walk. Both events will start at 8:05 am on May 18th on Arizona Avenue (new start line!) near the park. The remainder of the course is the same as the previous 2023 edition. Dutch finisher awards as well as overall and age group awards will be given. The race will be chip timed with a gun start. Participants can expect a t-shirt, fun race experience, and treats at the finish line.
