Join us for the 2nd Annual Turkey TrOT, a community-driven event dedicated to raising funds in support of occupational therapy research. Whether you’re a seasoned runner, casual jogger, or walking with friends and family, this 5K offers an inclusive and inspiring way to get moving for a great cause. The course will take participants through a scenic, family-friendly route, with water stations and cheering sections along the way. After crossing the finish line, stick around to enjoy a vibrant vendor fair featuring local businesses, health and wellness resources, and sponsor booths offering giveaways, refreshments, and activities.

All proceeds from the event directly benefit the St. Catherine’s Challenge, a nationwide initiative supporting the future of occupational therapy by funding innovative research, advancing evidence-based practice, and empowering the next generation of therapists. Whether you run, walk, or cheer from the sidelines, your participation helps strengthen the impact of occupational therapy across communities.

Events:

• Turkey TrOT 5K: $25, 8:00AM CST - 10:00AM CST
• Turkey TrOT 1.5 mile Fun Run: $20, 8:00AM CST - 10:00AM CST

Additional Notes:

• This event is untimed - it is a fundraising fun run!
• All registrations must be done online before race day.
• Only early bird registrations are guaranteed a race T-shirt.
• Snacks, water, and sports drinks will be provided.
• Local vendors will be at this event.

Bib pickup and Race Day Information:

• Packet Pick-Up: Friday, November 7th from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. at TWU’s MCL Lobby
• Day of packet pick up: will take place near the starting line starting at 7:15am
• Address: Old Main Circle Denton, TX US 76204
• 8:15am start time for both the 1 mile and 5k.
• Bathrooms will be available in Woodcock Hall, near the start line.
• Event Parking: Because the event is on the weekend, participants and their families are able to park on TWU’s campus for free, without a permit. We would recommend parking in the MCL parking lot or visitor parking.
