Tyler Azalea Run

The Tyler Azalea Run has a rich history, dating back to 1984. It was created to celebrate the beauty of the azaleas in Tyler, and has since become a popular event, attracting over 100,000 visitors each year. The first azaleas were planted in Tyler in 1929, and the area quickly gained a reputation for its springtime beauty. In 1960, marked tour routes were established to guide tourists through the azalea trails.
