Wags & Whiskers 5K & Furry Fun Run

Join us for the Wags & Whiskers 5K & Furry Fun Run at Breckenridge City Park in Breckenridge, TX on November 15, 2023. This event is open to all ages and fitness levels, so bring the whole family for a day of fun and exercise!

The event features two courses to choose from. The 5K course is a scenic route that covers a distance of 5 kilometers. The Fun Run course is a shorter 1-mile distance, perfect for those looking for a more leisurely pace.

Well-behaved dogs on leashes are welcome to participate with their humans, making this a great opportunity for a family outing with your furry friends.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Stephens County Humane Society, an organization dedicated to the care and placement of unwanted animals in Breckenridge and Stephens County. The funds raised will go towards food, housing, medical care, and transportation expenses for these animals in need.

To guarantee a t-shirt, entries must be received by November 15, 2023.

Pre-registration fees are as follows:

- $30.00 for participants 18 & Over

- $20.00 for participants 17 & Under

- $15.00 for the Fun Run (open to all ages)

On race day, there will be an additional $5.00 fee added to the above fees for on-site registration.

Awards will be given out in various age divisions for both male and female participants. The divisions include 12 & Under, 13-17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each division, as well as to the top overall male and female runners.

The race day schedule is as follows:

- Check-in: 8-8:45 am

- 5K start: 9:00 am

- Fun Run start: 9:15 am
