Event Overview
Families and community members can gather in beautiful spring weather to make strides against dyslexia or participate with a virtual option.
On Saturday, May 17, 2025, the public is invited to join in the Walk for Dyslexia to benefit the Madison Area Children’s Dyslexia Center, which offers free, individualized tutoring for Dane County children who struggle with reading, writing, and spelling.
Event Details
In-person registration will begin at 7:30 am at Brittingham Park (829 W. Washington Avenue, Madison, WI). The 5K walk/fun run will start at 8:30 am. Participants are welcome to run or walk the course. No timing is provided.
Dog Policy
Dogs are welcome at Brittingham Park, however, they must be leashed (non-retractable and a maximum of 6 feet long). Please respect your fellow participants and watch your dog closely.
Virtual Participation
Those unable to join in person can participate virtually by running a 5K at a local park or tracking steps over several days. Share your virtual experience with photos to be featured on our Facebook page.
Registration Information
Online registration includes a processing fee. To avoid this, mail in your registration or donations by May 1, 2025. Teams of five or more can receive a $5 discount.
