West Virginia Trail Fest 10

Welcome to the West Virginia Trail Festival (WVTF)! This annual trail running event in Pocahontas County, WV offers races of varying distances, family activities, and a unique experience in the mountainous landscape of West Virginia.

Event Highlights

The WVTF trail races include 100K, 60K, 30K, 5K, and a kids fun run mile. Other activities during the weekend include a movie night, kid's activities, a ride on the Cass Historic Railroad, awards ceremony, and Mother's Day breakfast.

Individual Race Highlights

Dark Skies 100K: Midnight start, 11,500 ft of elevation gain, epic views, climb 2 historic fire towers, views of Green Bank Observatory, finish in Snowshoe Village.

Full Moon 60K: Start at Cass Historic Railroad, point to point race, 7,400 ft of elevation gain, climb 2 historic fire towers, finish in Snowshoe Village.

Stargazer 30K: Climb historic fire tower, 3,800 ft of elevation gain, start/finish at Snowshoe Village.

Twilight 5K: Evening race, 650 ft of elevation gain, start/finish at Snowshoe Village.
