Grab your family and friends and join our family as we run (or walk) the Willie Stargell 5K Road Race Presented by nCino on Saturday, April 18, 2026 to help patients living with kidney disease. The Willie Stargell 5K takes place at Mayfaire Town Center in Wilmington, North Carolina offering a flat course for both the 1 Mile and 5K events. This is the perfect course for a PR (Personal Record). There is a virtual option if you cannot join us in person. The popular finisher medals and awards will be back.

Participants receive a ticket to after race brunch at Coquina Fish Bar following the race next to Mayfaire Regal Theater.

This is a fast and flat paved road course that takes runners around Mayfaire Town Center, with little road traffic. It is a great course for new runners, or seasoned runners looking for a personal best. The Willie Stargell 5K Road Race course is also stroller & wheelchair friendly! However, dogs are not allowed on this course so please leave them at home or with a non-running spectator.

The Cause

The mission of the Willie Stargell Foundation is to honor the legacy of Willie Stargell by giving hope through research, patient care and treatment for those living with kidney disease. By raising funds from generous public and private donations, the Foundation seeks to ease the financial burden of ever-increasing medical costs patients suffering from kidney disease face.
