Come help us wake up the Dandelions from their winter slumber! This 5k Trail Run or Walk and Mushroom Mile (great for children and grown-ups alike!) is held on the trails of our campus and open to the public. Proceeds support The Hartsbrook School's unique programming including Land Stewardship, which integrates animal husbandry, climate education, sustainable agriculture and beekeeping practices across the curriculum grades 1-12. Race is held rain or shine! Please plan for lots of mud and uneven terrain. Can't join us in person? Join us for our virtual Distance Dash! Run 5K or more from wherever you are in the world to earn race standing based on miles run over time.

• Dandelion Dash 5K: $40, 9:45AM EDT, 60 spots left. Registration Opens January 28, 2026 at 3:38pm EST
• Mushroom Mile (1 mile): $30, 9:00AM EDT, 60 spots left. Registration Opens January 28, 2026 at 3:38pm EST

Event Information

• Mushroom Mile begins at 9 am, Dandelion Dash 5K begins at 9:45 am.
• Race day registration hours: 8:00 am - 9:30 am
• Registration Fee: $20 for Mushroom Mile age 10 and Under, $30 for Mushroom Mile, $40 for Dandelion Dash
• Registrants receive: T-shirt, Bib with digital timing, participation medal, snacks and beverages at finish line
• On-site parking is available at no extra fee
