Course Description

Explore one of the hidden gems of the OKC metro area: the Lake Liberty Trail. Known for its fun, flowy, and fast single-track terrain, this race takes runners on a 7.8-mile loop around the lake, except the 5K, which features an out-and-back course. Liberty’s Lost Treasure offers race distances for all experience levels, including a 5K, 12.5K, 25K, and 50K. The 50K course has a 10-hour cutoff. Runners will enjoy scenic views as the loop winds through the beautiful trails surrounding Liberty Lake. You will cross Forrest Hills Road and Seward Road, but there is no road running required, just quick crossings. The start and finish will be conveniently located at the trailhead, just down the road from the campsites and beach area. This is a true family-and-friends race, with plenty of space to set up chairs and canopies around the start/finish area. Race Distances

• 5K – Out and back course
• 12.5K – One full 7.8-mile loop
• 25K – Two full 7.8-mile loops
• 50K – Four 7.8-mile loops

Aid Stations

There will be one aid station 4 miles into the race. There will be no crew access at this aid station.

Outlaw Trail Series

Complete all 6 trail runs in the Outlaw Trail Series (Outlaw, Lake McMurtry, Flower Moon, Dark and Dirty, Liberty's Lost Treasure and Thunderbird) in a calendar year and receive a cool plaque to recognize your achievement. Distance is not a factor (in other words, you can run the 5K or the 135mile). An Oklahoma-shaped plaque with hooks looks great as a display for awesome medals.

Ruck Division

You asked, we listened! A rucking division is officially coming to Outlaw Races, debuting at Liberty Lost Treasure on the 13-mile loop! We’re keeping it simple and a little more relaxed than most ruck events, but we still ask that participants follow these basic guidelines:

Rucking Guidelines

• If you weigh less than 150lbs there is a 10lb minimum
• If you weigh more than 150lbs there is a 20lb minimum
• Trekking poles are allowed
• Weight cannot include anything consumable or wearable. No food, water, or clothing allowed as part of the required weight
• Weighted vests are allowed if the total weight meets the minimum requirements
• No podium awards, but you’ll still earn a finisher medal and a custom Velcro patch

Miscellaneous

Medical Risks

Each runner is responsible or their own actions. It is crucial that you are physically and mentally prepared for the stresses of the race. We will utilize the local EMS services in case of a medical emergency. It is important for the runner to recognize the potential physical and mental stresses that may evolve from participation in this race. Each participant must continuously monitor his/herself and understand their limitations. Remember that you are responsible for your own well-being during this race.

Race Rules For Runners

1. Absolutely no littering!
2. You may not stash supplies along the course.
3. Any runner dropping out shall immediately notify the nearest aid station or race management at the start/finish area.
4. Runners accepting a ride for any reason are deemed out of the race and may not re-enter.
5. All runners will abide by the directions of race management.
6. Violations of any rule will be grounds for disqualification. Race Management reserves the right to bar any runner from competing in this and any future Outlaw races.
7. In the case of a tie, runners will be placed alphabetically.
8. All animals must be leashed at all times.
9. Decisions of Race Management are final.

Awards

All runners who complete their respective race distances within the designated time limit will be awarded distance-specific, custom-designed belt buckles or medal. In addition, the first overall male and female in each race will receive an overall award.

Crew Access/ Pacers

There will be no crew access at the aid stations. Crew access will only be available at the start/finish area, where there is plenty of space to set up personal aid stations. No pacers for this run.

Military Discount

Child Discount (in person only)

Outlaw events are meant to be amongst family and friends. As such, any parent entry will entitle one child (15 yo and under) to a free entry of same or lesser distance. We understand that registering all the kids gets expensive so here is a chance for the kids to get a great medal and T-shirt and to be active and healthy as a family. Volunteer Benefits

Along with a T-shirt and the normal fun of volunteering, we would like to do more. It takes a community to put on quality races, but volunteers also need to be appreciated. The program will be as follows: Shifts are in 8 hour increments and you must sign up. If you volunteer for one shift at any of our races you will get 25% off registration for any of our future races. Distance is not a factor. So 4 shifts will be a free race.

Deferal / Transfer Credit (to a different race)

If you can no longer run the event you registered for, we offer the below-sliding scale prior to the originally schedule race date for receiving credit to a different Outlaw event. We do not offer refunds, deferrals, or transfers - only future race credit. The credit will only be useable by the original registered participant and only for Outlaw events. Unless otherwise stated, credits will be valid for two years from the original event date. Credit will be the amount paid minus taxes and fees. Transfers are a one-time opportunity. You cannot re-transfer a previously transferred race. Once credits have been issued, they are gone. This includes any credits used from volunteering, race credits, previous credits, or credits transferred. The submission date will be used to calculate the credit amount. 90-days out (or more): 100% credit 30-89 days out: 75% credit Less than 30 days: No credit
