Running with the Big Dogs 5k Run and 2-mile Dog Stroll

Event Details

You can run or walk with or without your dog. Dogs must be on a leash (6 ft. max) at all times. All dogs must have a current rabies inoculation. Puppies six months of age or younger, or female dogs in any stage of heat, will not be allowed to participate. In addition, a dog whose behavior is unruly or might prove hazardous to other participants, dogs, or spectators will be asked to leave the race. We urge you to consult with your veterinarian before registering for this race. He/she may advise you not to participate due to your pet’s health status.

All registered participants will receive a long-sleeve cotton t-shirt (design will be posted as the race nears), and all dogs that complete the walk or run will receive a medal.

Beneficiary

Part of the proceeds from the race will benefit the Michigan City Police Department (MCPD) new search and rescue K9, Freya.

Registration Fees

• Non-competitive: $30.00 (Now registering Oct 2 – Aug 30)
• 2 mile Walk: $35.00 (Aug 31 – Oct 9)
• 5k Run: $40.00 (Aug 31 – Oct 9)
