2024 China Coast Marathon and Half Marathon

Join us for the 2024 China Coast Marathon and Half Marathon, AVOHK's flagship event and the first AIMS certified marathon in Hong Kong. This road race takes place at the scenic High Island Reservoir in the Sai Kung Country Park. Since its inception in 1981, the race has challenged runners with its undulating course. While it may not be a race for personal bests, it offers competitive racing against some of Hong Kong's toughest runners and showcases stunning scenery.

Held in January, the event provides the best chance of favorable running weather. All participants will receive a T-shirt, medal, and race souvenir. In addition to overall winners' prizes and trophies, there will be age group awards in 5-year increments from 35 to 80.

The event details, including bib pick-up and transportation to the start, can be found on the AVOHK website. Water stations will be available approximately every 5 kilometers, and full marathon runners will also have access to sports drinks. The race has a 6-hour time limit for the full marathon.

As part of our commitment to reducing single-use plastics, we have implemented a policy to minimize their use during the event. After the race, participants can enjoy refreshments and receive their souvenir T-shirt and race souvenirs.
