About the Event
Le Tour de Skyline (TdS) is a two-day ride from Front Royal to Waynesboro (day one) and back (day two) along Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park. The ride is hilly, with very little flat terrain, and is not steep. The hills are mostly between two and three miles in length, except for the initial climb, which is around six miles. The ride is around 220 miles in total, with approximately 20,000 feet of climbing. The event is non-profit, and the fees are non-refundable. The ride starts at 9:00 from Dickey’s Ridge parking Lot, and there will be SAG supported water stops at Panorama and Loft Mountain. All riders must wear helmets, and it is recommended to wear gloves and glasses. The event also includes massage therapists, SAG support, and overnight accommodations at Quality Inn in Waynesboro. The event is open to all participants, and it is recommended to carry essential items such as spare tubes, water bottles, and cell phones for emergency purposes. The event is a fun and challenging adventure, and participants are encouraged to approach the ride as a self-supported journey.
