About the Ride
The 39th Annual The Ben to the Shore Bike Tour on Sunday, July 26, 2026, is a charity bike ride hosted by Families Behind the Badge Children's Foundation. It raises money to provide financial relief to families of fallen or critically injured first responders, cultivate positive interactions between first responders and communities, and offer mental and emotional wellbeing resources.
Participating riders have options for three routes: a 65-mile route from Philadelphia, PA to Atlantic City, NJ; a 30-mile route from Hammonton, NJ to Atlantic City, NJ; and a 10-mile route from Galloway, NJ to Atlantic City, NJ. Riders are celebrated at an After Party at the Showboat Hotel.
Routes
- 65-Miles: Ride from Philadelphia to Atlantic City, starting at 7:00 a.m. at the former Philadelphia Police Headquarters.
- 30-Miles: Scenic ride through South Jersey, starting in Hammonton and finishing at the Showboat in Atlantic City.
- 10-Miles: Accessible route starting in Galloway and cruising over the Absecon Boulevard Bridge into Atlantic City, with a relaxed 10:30 a.m. start.
The event encourages fundraising and offers prizes for top individual fundraisers and teams.
