3K/5K Fun Run for Literacy

Presented by Rotary Club of Salinas Valley and Lettuce Run Club

This community event is more than just a run – it’s an opportunity to bring families, community members, and businesses together to promote healthy lifestyles while raising funds for vital literacy programs. Proceeds provide books, tutoring resources, and educational support for children and families in our community, helping build a brighter future while encouraging Blue Zone practices for health and wellness. Proceeds from this event will directly benefit literacy programs in our Salinas Valley school district—providing tutoring resources and educational support to children and families in need. Every mile you run (or walk) helps create a brighter future for our community.

Schedule:

• 7:15 – 7:30 AM | Check-in Opens
• 7:45 – 8:00 AM | Warm-up & Stretch with Lettuce Run Club
• 8:00 AM | 3K Run/Walk Starts
• 8:30 AM | 5K Run/Walk Starts
• 9:30 AM | Post-Run Celebration
• 10 AM | Closing Remarks & Acknowledgements

We recommend participants arrive 30–45 minutes early to allow time for check-in, warm-up, and to get settled before the run begins.
